The reason your marketing keeps sliding to next week
Okay so, let me tell you something I’ve noticed.
You know what you should be posting. You've probably even drafted a few captions in your notes app that never made it out. Your database hasn't heard from you in months, not because you don't care about them, but because Monday turned into Wednesday, and Wednesday turned into Friday, and then it was the weekend.
That's not a discipline problem.
Marketing slides to next week because it's the thing without a hard deadline. Nobody's waiting on your Instagram post the way they're waiting on your contract addendum. So it gets pushed. And pushed. And pushed. Until it's been six weeks, and now you feel guilty about it, so you avoid it more.
I talk to a lot of agents who feel this way. Almost all of them. Not because they aren't working hard enough. They are. They're just working on the things with the loudest deadlines. That's why marketing gets stuck.
Here's what I want you to hear: your inconsistent marketing isn't a personal failing. It's what happens when you're running a real business with real clients. The solution isn't more discipline. It's a system that runs whether you have discipline or not.
That could be me. Or someone else. Or an assistant, or a template library, or a batch day once a month.
Just not another week of you promising yourself you'll get to it next week.
lol okay, off my soapbox.
